About Me.
Hi! I'm Sawah, your quirky and weird therapist.

I'm a queer, neurodivergent and ENM-aligned Certified Canadian Counsellor currently residing on the unceded land of the Sinixt, colonially known as Nelson, BC.

I decided to become a therapist when I noticed my identities were rarely represented in the field of mental health, and was frustrated by the frequency with which I needed to educate people on basic concepts within those identities. I firmly believe that lived experience is important and even at times necessary to the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to provide a space where you feel safe and secure to explore embodying the person you want to be. Please feel free to show up as you are, where you're at. The work matters more than what the work looks like.

Outside of therapy, I can be found continuing my education within the field, in ways that support and benefit my clients, spending time in nature, playing with my cats, connecting with chosen family, and engaging in hobbies ( garden, textiles, reupholstery, art, physical care, and more).
